Journeyman Carpenter: (1) One FT position & (3) Three Temporary PT & FT positions/Non-Exempt

$26.00 (+) DOE/Job#03-CNSTR

A Journeyman Carpenter must have the skills and experience to perform all construction tasks for building, from breaking ground to completion. A Journeyman Carpenter must be capable of running small jobs and crews unassisted. Must be tooled to the extent/level necessary to perform all phases of building/construction. Provide guidance and supervision for apprentice carpenters and laborers, strong basic carpentry skills, be responsible for tool care and maintenance. Set an example for all employees on the crew & stay busy at all times. Be on time every day. Knowledge and Skills of our Journeyman Carpenter: Strong carpentry skills, working knowledgeable of building codes, able to work independently and as a team, strong time management skills and a sense of work ownership.

Education and Experience: 5 plus years bags-on custom residential/commercial construction as a Carpenter. Must have valid CA driver’s license, no more than 3 points on driver record. Bilingual preferred, not required.

Journeyman Plumber: (1) One Temporary FT or PT position/Non-Exempt/$36.50 – $45.00 + DOE/Job#06-CNSTR

In this position, the Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of the plumbing systems in our commercial, and residential buildings, as well as our new construction Understand architectural plans, specifications and construction schedules. Other duties may be assigned. Knowledge and Skills of our Journeyman Plumber: Operating knowledge of general plumbing repair and maintenance equipment. Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations. Ability to read blue prints. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately. 5 years of experience in residential/commercial construction. Ability to read blueprints and schematics, ability to work independently with little/no assistance, strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, ability to handle physical workload. Can climb ladders for heights of up to 30 feet, crawl for distances of 50 feet, climb stairs, lift up to 100 pounds frequently. Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Education and Experience: Plumbing, 5 years (Required). Must have valid CA driver’s license, no more than 3 points on driver record. Bilingual preferred, not required.

Journeyman Concrete Finisher: (1) One Temporary FT or PT position/Non-Exempt/$29.00 – $36.50 (+) DOE/Job#07-CNSTR

Duties will include, tends machines, mixes concrete, pours concrete, and assists carpenters, operating engineers, and other construction site workers. Must be able to form various types of flat work, stairs, ramps, knowledge of footings, turndown slabs, and slab on grades is a positive. Must be able to screed, float, edge, bull float, broom finish concrete, knowledge of other finishes is a positive (stained, exposed aggregate, stamped). Specializing in concrete floors and flat work. Must be able to Finish Concrete. Ability to work side-by-side, take direction from Lead/Apprentice carpenters to execute tasks involving physical labor.  Responsibilities: High customer service mentality with attention to detail. Adherence to safety requirements. Teamwork orientation. Requirements: Must have driver’s license and own transportation. Able to lift 100 regularly. Ability to work outdoors in a normal environment (sun, rain, etc…)

Full-time Experience: finish concrete: 5 years (Required). Must have valid CA driver’s license, no more than 3 points on driver record. Bilingual preferred, not required.

Duties will include examining, identifying, repairing, replacing and installing in all aspects of commercial/residential construction including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, framing, wall finishes, masonry, acoustical ceilings, flooring, ADA compliance, landscaping and other applicable trades. This applies to both internal and external building environments. Other duties may be assigned. Education and Experience: Can climb ladders for heights up to 30 feet, crawl for distance of 50 feet, climb stairs, lift up to 100 lbs. frequently, High School Diploma, GED or certificate from Adult School

Maintenance/Trade: 2 years (Required). Must have valid CA driver’s license, no more than 3 points on driver record. Bilingual preferred, not required.

Responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites for the erection of structures and buildings. Unloads and loads materials, removes hazards from job site, tends machines, mixes concrete, pours concrete, and assists carpenters, operating engineers, and other construction site workers. Ability to work side-by-side, take direction from Lead/Apprentice carpenters to execute tasks involving physical labor. Experience operating hand and power tools. Will be required to use personal basic hand tools. Be responsible for tool care and maintenance, stay busy at all times. Be on time every day. Knowledge and Skills of our Laborer/Skilled Laborer: Some basic carpentry skills preferred but not required. Some basic knowledgeable of building codes helpful but not required, able to work independently, strong time management skills and a sense of work ownership. Education and Experience: High School Diploma and/or GED, 2/5-year experience working in any construction a plus, but not required. Must have valid CA driver’s license, no more than 3 points on driver record. Bilingual preferred, not required.
